Green Works Winter Workshop: Tree Pruning – From Birth to Death

Come walk the Middlebury College campus with V.J. Comai and Tim Parsons and see tree pruning techniques on a wide variety of trees. We’ll look at pruning newly established trees, semi-mature shade trees, as well as mature and over-mature specimens. We’ll look at young tree training, crown cleaning, crown raising, and retrenchment pruning. Come prepared to walk quite a ways, it’s a big campus.
Directions: Please park in the Center for the Arts parking lot. Leave town on Route 30, and look for the sign on the left for the Center for the Arts parking; there are well marked visitor sections in the lot itself.
