The goal of this day long workshop is to help our members keep up to date with the wide range of software/technological tools available to help them succeed in the market place today. As an industry, we are not known for our computer skills, yet there are many ways technology can help our companies become better at selling products and help our work flow become more efficient. We will have a morning and an afternoon session with free time for lunch in the middle. Participants are welcome to attend one or both of the sessions. This workshop is being facilitated by David Burton of Ginkgo Design, LLC and Ashley Robinson, Landscape Designer.
Morning Session – 10:00am – Noon:
Participants will be introduced to three design software tools that can help you with design, presentations, and estimating your projects. We will review Vectorworks, SketchUp and Dynascapes. These products have different ranges of functionality, expense and difficulty which will also be discussed.
Lunch Break: Bring a bagged lunch or choose from the many options on Church Street.
Afternoon Session 1:30pm – 3:30pm:
Participants will be introduced to CRM(Customer Relationship Management) software and how it can help you to better manage your clients, while increasing the organization of your project tracking and work flow. We will be reviewing Insightly software, but there are many other products available that can also be discussed. We will also see an introduction to LMN mobile estimating and time sheet software presented by a local contractor that has found this product very helpful in the growth and organization of his business.
