Garden Therapy: Landscape Gardener

Garden Therapy has an opening for a Full-Time Seasonal Landscape Gardener. The season begins as soon as the weather allows; usually around April 1st. Garden Therapy is an 8 year old company that maintains perennial gardens throughout Chittenden County. They have 2 full-time staff, including this position, with additional part-time help brought in as needed. The gardens range from small private perennial gardens to large private estates containing annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees. Garden Therapy takes pride in their attention to detail, their ability to provide excellent customer service, and their dedication to each and every client. They love what we do and want you to too.

This position will include, at a minimum, the following duties: Spring/fall Cleanup, edging, mulching, deadheading, weeding, pruning, planting, dividing and garden installation and overhauls. Also involved, moving plant material and repetition of certain tasks, like weeding. No mowing.

Requirements: Are you self-motivated, trustworthy and responsible? Do you take pride in your work and enjoy working independently as well as with others? Do you enjoy the outdoors, rain or shine, as well as manual work? They need someone in good physical shape that can work efficiently and is able to lift and carry 50+ pounds. You must be a non-smoker, have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Plant knowledge and plant care experience, including pruning, is desired. Flexibility, a positive attitude, and a love of plants are a must. A degree in Horticulture, or landscape/gardening experience is a plus.

Hourly rate is negotiable and will also depend on experience and abilities. diStefano Landscaping: Landscape Gardener

We build and maintain high end outdoor spaces. This position involves all aspects of landscape and landscape maintenance and will be responsible for the landscape gardening needs at several properties. Thorough knowledge of plant and plant care including pruning, separating, deadheading, cultivating and watering is needed to keep our landscapes looking and growing at their fullest potential. This position also may assist with maintenance, planting and hardscape installations as needed.

Looking for team players who enjoy the outdoors are physically fit, motivated and responsible. All applicants must have a valid drivers license and positive attitude. Great pay, work environment and lots of growth potential for the right person.

Those with (VCH) Vermont Certified Horticulturist certification, Horticulture degree and or nursery background is a big plus and strongly encouraged to apply
