Originally this tour was going to take place on Lake Hortonia but due to the low water level it has been moved to Bristol Pond.

September 7, 2016 – Wednesday

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!   Daniel Redondo, principal and senior Aquatic Ecologist at Vermont Wetland Plant Supply, will lead a canoe & kayak trip to explore the marshes of Winona winona lakeLake, Bristol, VT.  You will learn about the native plants that thrive in deep water, shallow water, and the edges of the lake margin, and how you can use in them in your backyard ponds and moist areas of your landscape.  Canoes or kayaks required, along with life-jackets.  Be ready to shove off by 6pm!  Binoculars recommended.

Directions:   Take Bristol Road and turn left (if coming from Monkton) onto Mountain Road.  Take the first right onto Bristol Pond Road.  You will see the state fishing access area.
